Thanks to everyone that came out to discuss Kathryn Stockett’s The Help. Truly this was the very first meeting were we all actually liked the books – there’s a first!
For anyone who couldn’t make it, or didn’t read the book, The Help is a wonderful story about well-to-do white women and their relationships with their black maids. I think it’s an interesting look at both race and female relationships. Definitely a step up from more traditional chick lit.
